2017 will be a big year, with the Lent Retreats moving to a new venue — St Joseph’s Retreat Centre at Kincumber. Kincumber will provide very comfortable facilities. Each of the 38 rooms has an en suite. You can have a room to yourself, or share if desired with a friend. The Centre is easier to access, as one can get a train to Woy Woy and then a taxi if not coming by car.
The dates are 3-5 March 2017 (weekend); and the weekday retreat is from 7-9th March 2017.
The big news is that AW Newcastle is to host the 2017 bi-annual Provincial Anglican Women’s Conference!
Taking place from 5-8th June 2017, it will coincide with the Diocesan AW Annual Service at the Cathedral on 6th June. As well as women from throughout Newcastle Diocese and from dioceses throughout NSW and perhaps beyond, we hope to have a few international guests. The venue will be Club Macquarie at Argenton — again very conveniently located for travellers, being next to Cockle Creek Railway Station. By car it is about 20 mins. from the City.
We look forward to an interesting programme and hope to show our guests something of the Newcastle area.
See the Gallery of photos below to see what these two new venues will be like.
